You're right, I've been wishy-washy on the issue myself. I guess what I generally meant by act like an idiot was the spamming or otherwise abusing of this board. I don't want to be a babysitter.
However I wouldn't mind having some people who have differing opinions about religion or the war or whatever...especially if they are willing to engage in intellectual debates. It makes things so much more interesting to hear from both sides especially if both sides can keep it civil. :)
